Slice of Life Day 18: The Perfect Kind of Sunday
Today was the perfect kind of Sunday.
The kind of Sunday where you find the perfect balance of relaxation and productivity.
Sleeping in a little later than normal
Waking up slowly
Less traffic than normal on the freeway
Initial wedding dress alteration appointment
(much less expensive than expected!)
Time to lay on the couch and read
Leisurely Panera lunch with my fiance
Meeting with the floral lady at Costco
(The speed and volume at Costco on a Sunday are not my perfect kind of Sunday,
but checking things off the wedding to do list is)
Grocery shopping for the week
Laying on the couch to read some more, before starting dinner
The kind of Sunday where the sunshine is warmer than it has been in a long time and it gives you hope that spring is coming soon.
Strolling through the neighborhood
Face towards the sky
Soaking up sunshine
Everyone has emerged
From hibernation
With a newfound pep in their step

Sounds like a wonderful Sunday. It was in the low 30's today so I was not feeling upbeat and positive even though Spring is officially coming next week. The weather people keep talking about another noreaster. Yuck. I am done with winter.
ReplyDeleteYour Sunday sounds delightful and I'm hard pressed not to whine about mine (7 degrees at 6 am and report card comments to write all day!). I'm glad you were able to be out and about and find that elusive balance of productivity and relaxation. If you could bottle that combo, you'd be rich! This is a nice structure for a slice.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really nice ! (Except for Costco, but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do.) I like your "pep in their step" line. :-) ~JudyK
