Slice of Life Day 16: Not Quite Spring

Pulling out of the garage, 

early this morning, 

I watched a robin hopping,

Across the recently uncovered grass, 

brown from spending the winter

beneath a snowy blanket

The inside of my car,

warmed quickly, 

in the bright morning sunshine.

My mood lifted, 

with all the signs, 

spring must be around the corner.

When I arrived at work, 

and stepped out of my car,

the brisk 25 degree morning, 

quickly reminded me, 

Spring isn't here,

quite yet.
